Bronze - Horse: head to hoof
The physical balance of this sculpture works. It stands with the same stability that any horse, however contorted, needs to apply to prevent it from toppling over. Whether human or beast we all have to alter our balance, our weight bearing pivot points to contend with the mass we carry. We do so with the expertise of a lifetime's experience; hardly noticing the tilt in our hips and other reactions that we automatically put in place.
Our ability to learn, to adapt, I find so interesting and of course it is this that has stood all life in such good stead over millennia.
