First Workshop - 5th September 2022

Fen enjoyed a fabulous day delivering her first sculpture workshop.
Designed specifically for the Bruton Art Society, seven of its members were in attendance. The aim was to educate beginners in wax figurative modelling.
Fen demonstrated how to make an armature. Then, guiding students through human anatomy, gradually showed them how to build the muscles up to create a female nude.

A discussion at the end took participants through the journey of transforming their wax into bronze and the foundry process.
All participants achieved wonderful wax sculptures by the close of the session.

Comments from students:

' Excellent tuition, more please.'
"I wish I had a degree in anatomy"!
' Extremely well run. Lots of help & advice and the careful way you set up our learning with no choice made us see things & achieve beyond expectations. Great day.'
' Would like another day to put forms into expression/different postures.'
' Extremely informative in the amount of time available.'
' Most enjoyable, full of learning and creativity. Expertly explained and I felt really listened to and encouraged. Well structured day.'
' Just brilliant.'
